Middy's signage & graphic design

Andrew Watson Design collaborated with the project Architects (Buderim Design Studio) to design a new identity and custom signage for the Middy’s retail centre. The existing signage was old, worn and inconsistent and was in need of an update.

The custom signage created by Andrew Watson Design is complimentary to the surrounding urban environment and architecture. The heritage nature of Buderim was an important factor in the design of the new signage, and a subtle and subservient solution was required. With this in mind, we reduced the height of the main entrance pylon from 12 meters in height, to 7 meters. We also worked with a neutral colour palette with accent colours referenced from a local flower, heliconia.
